The Hotel Alte Mühle

Our *** Superior Hotel Alte Mühle is located in the Rödental district of Oberwohlsbach, which is characterized by meadows and forests. Surrounded by two romantically babbling mill streams, our house with 24 rooms is in a quiet location in the middle of untouched nature. Ideally located for hikers and cyclists, directly on the Way of St. James on the Erfurt-Coburg route.

In the restaurant of the "Alten Mühle" our passion for sophisticated culinary delights is palpable.

Typical Franconian and Mediterranean dishes with fresh ingredients from the area - connoisseurs get their money's worth here.

A wine list tailored to our food is always worth a look - as is the variety at the bar. The atmospheric atmosphere in the cozy seating areas or directly at the bar shaped like a mill wheel invites you to linger.

You can expect high-quality long drinks, aperitifs or digestifs.

A historical building

The building, built in 1902 on the foundations of a former flour and saw mill, was lovingly renovated from the ground up in 1995 - after almost 40 years of slumber. In the historic walls of the "Göckelsmühle" there is now accommodation in the upper category as well as a specialty restaurant in which we, the Knorr family, prepare culinary delicacies for our guests and attach great importance to warm hospitality. Let us spoil you with Franconian specialties and international cuisine.

Our hotel has 24 comfortably furnished rooms. Enjoy the peace and quiet in the middle of nature and simply switch off in the evening.

Our 17 double rooms and 7 single rooms are equipped with a bathroom including a spacious shower as standard. In order to switch off a bit in the evening, there is a flat-screen LCD TV in every room.

A kettle with coffee and tea is available for free use in every room.

Likewise, the rich breakfast buffet,
free parking directly in front of the house
and free WiFi included in the price.

Vom 09.09. bis einschließlich 24.09.24  ist unser Mühlenrestaurant nur

​ für unsere Hausgäste mit einer kleiner Speisekarte

von Montag bis Freitag von 18.00 bis 21.00 Uhr geöffnet.

(Samstag und Sonntag Restaurant geschlossen).
